  • OUR PROMISE TO YOU

Fresh Clean Threads For Fresh Clean Seas

At Fresh Clean Threads, we like our clothes fresh and our oceans clean. By choosing Fresh Clean Threads, you're choosing cleaner, healthier oceans. Thanks to your support, we're able to be a loyal partner to Coral Reef Alliance, an environmental nonprofit dedicated to protecting coral reefs around the world. We’re also working hard to create new, eco-friendly, fully sustainable, and truly affordable basics, such as our Clean Seas Collection's Eco Fresh Tees. They’re made from 100% renewable fibers and responsible for zero microplastics.

    The Ocean Is Our Backyard

When Fresh Clean Threads started in a San Diego couple’s guest room, sustainability wasn’t exactly built into the business plan. The primary focus was to simply get the company (then called Fresh Clean Tees) off the ground. Over the years, thanks to hard work and good fortune, we’ve grown into a notable apparel brand. These days, Fresh Clean Threads is still based in San Diego (now in an office, of course), which means we spend a lot of time enjoying the ocean’s beauty and bounty with our family and friends. So our beachside community means a great deal to us, and we’re continually excited to give back and look for new ways to help out.

Fashion & Sustainability

For us to be the clothing brand we want to be, Fresh Clean Threads needs to be part of the solution instead of the problem — and it’s a big problem. The fashion industry is one of the world’s largest polluters, and it doesn’t help that global clothing production has doubled since 2000.

    Materials And Manufacturing

As we work towards a more sustainable future, we are partnering with factories that are on board with innovating our products and manufacturing practices towards this promise. Not only are we moving the needle to certify our materials for traceability, every factory in our supply chain is certified with Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) guaranteeing that the work environment is socially and ethically responsible.

What Our Future Looks Like

At Fresh Clean Threads, we're always refining our approach to long-term sustainability. Below are just a few endeavors we're currently working toward.

  • Raw Materials

We are working to replace all of our clothing’s synthetics with organic and sustainable fabrics by 2025.

  • $150,000 Pledge

We collaborate with nonprofit partners to ensure we’re sending a minimum of $150k to ocean protection efforts each year.

  • Sustainability Benchmarks

We will establish eco-friendly targets and report to an impartial third party to hold ourselves accountable.

  • Awareness Outreach

We will use our brand’s reach to educate and encourage our customers and partners in regard to sustainable practices.

  • Eco-Friendly Supply Chain

We will continue to make supply chain decisions with the environment as a focal point instead of simply looking for the lowest cost solution.
